Highly valued work, engaging research, and leadership opportunities—a Psy.D. from Rivier University could be your path to professional fulfillment and success. Rivier’s Doctor of Psychology in Counseling and School Psychology prepares students to become ethical health service psychologists.
The program follows the practitioner-scholar model, which integrates clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation with the empirical foundations of the discipline. The curriculum is designed with professional standards and licensing requirements in mind.
Doctoral students attend classes on campus in Nashua, New Hampshire, one to three late afternoon or nights a week and are expected to attend the University full-time, including the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
As trained and licensed psychologists, graduates have the education and experience for the independent delivery of healthcare services in a range of settings—individual or group practice, multidisciplinary clinics, counseling centers, hospitals, and schools.
